Roy D. Hickman, 79, of Cambridge died Sunday (April 19, 2915) at Cambridge Health and Rehabilitation Ctr. He was born January 18, 1936 in Cambridge and was the son of the late William Ezra and Lucille (Sickles) Hickman. Mr. Hickman retired from Parnell and Associates where he had been a foreman. He was a member of Anchor Church in Cambridge and was an avid Bass fisherman. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife, Kathryn L. (Blattner) Hickman, who died December 21, 2013. They were married September 13, 1958. Also deceased are four brothers, Ervil Hickman, Bill Hickman, Albert Ogle and Fred Barton; and three sisters, Betty Fogle, Inez Hackley, and Anne Bosak; one daughter Kitty Bradford. He is survived by five sons, Roy D. (Janet) Hickman Jr., of Cambridge, Kenneth L. (Roseann) Hickman of Cambridge, Rex A. (Karen) Hickman of Byesville, John P. (Stephanie) Hickman of Cambridge, and Brian A. (Courtney) Hickman of Cambridge; one daughter, Rebecca J. (Doug) Anderson of Cambridge; one brother, George (Jeanine) Hickman of Cambridge; one sister Mary (Robert) Blackstone of Cambridge; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge with services to follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Aaron Bounds officiating. Burial will be in Northwood Cemetery.
