Russell "Rusty" E. Casey

Russell E. "Rusty" Casey, 66, of Cambridge, passed away Sunday (May 4, 2014) at his home.

He was born April 7, 1948 in Cambridge, son of the late Russell R. "Pete" Casey and Annabell (Hackley) Casey.

Mr. Casey worked in the oil fields during the 1970s and 1980s. He also worked in the plastics business.

He enjoyed riding his Harley and Honda motorcycles. He also enjoyed hanging out in his garage with his family and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine E. "Kitty" (Heskett) Casey, who passed away December 31, 2003. They were married February 12, 1966. Also deceased is a brother, William E. Ogle; and two sisters, Patricia J. Casey and Margaret A. Casey.

He is survived by three sons, Allen "Chip" Casey, Michael Casey, and Russell "Rusty" Casey Jr. all of Cambridge; three daughters, Lisa Casey, Teresa Casey, and Kim Casey all of Cambridge; eight grandchildren, Richard, Kayla, Katelyn, Michael, Kaden, and Annabell Casey, Abigail Roberts, and Kami Carleton all of Cambridge; a great-grandson, Coen Baker of Cambridge; three brothers, Samuel Casey of Buffalo, James Casey of Kipling, and Robert Casey of Cambridge; several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; his mother-in-law, Dorothy Heskett; several cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends; his best friends, Bob and Teresa McKinney, and Johnny Harper; and his very spoiled dog, Princess.

Visitation will be held Thursday (May 8, 2014) from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 9 p.m.
