Russell Burt Wolfe Jr., 60, of Newcomerstown, died Monday (March 11, 2019) at the Riverside Manor Nursing Home, Newcomerstown, following a brief illness.
He was born March 5, 1959 in Paris France, son of the late Russell B. Wolfe and Mary (Omerod) Wolfe.
A 1978 graduate of Meadowbrook High School, Mr. Wolfe had worked as a security guard at Vanadium for many years.
He enjoyed fishing.
He was a 2006 inductee of the International Martial Arts Hall of Fame and he taught youth martial arts.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Myrna Raye (White) Wolfe, who died October 13, 2018; and a sister, Wendy Voytko.
He is survived by his son, Russell Wolfe III (& Rebecca Minor) of Carrollton; a daughter, Susan Wolfe (& John Evans) of Spokane WA; a brother, Ron Wolfe (& Vickie Hunter) of Cambridge; three grandchildren, Sir Mykel Evans, Malachi Goodman, and Tiye Evans all of Spokane WA; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Bill and Sandra Cremeans of Norwich; two sisters-in-law, Kristie (& Gene) Oliver of Senecaville and Cynthia Cremeans of Hilton Head Island SC; a brother-in-law, Mike Voytko of Pleasant City; a special nephew and fishing partner, Matthew Wolfe; and his special friends, Ron Stevens and Mike & Carol Shinn.
Visitation will be held Friday (March 15, 2019) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Randolph White officiating.
Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge.
