Ruth Deloris Harris

Ruth Deloris Harris, 93, passed peacefully Friday (July 25, 2014) at The Morrison House, Zanesville. She was born January 4, 1921 in Belmont County, daughter of Ernest Eddy and Luella (Stephens) Eddy. Mrs. Harris had worked at March Electric for thirty-four years. She was a member of the Bethlehem Methodist Church of Trail Run. She enjoyed flowers, crocheting, and sewing. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Edmund Russell Harris, who died December 18, 1988; a son, Charles Harris; and two brothers, Bert Eddy and Willard Eddy. She is survived by a son, Gene (& Helen) Harris of Byesville; two brothers, Virgil (& Jean) Eddy of Barnesville and Herman (& Carol) Eddy of Byesville; three grandchildren, Michael Conner, Rebecca Anne Harris-Sandidge, and William "Bill" Harris; nine great-grandchildren; a great-great-granddaughter; and several nieces & nephews. Visitation will be held Monday (July 28, 2014) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. Burial will be at Sunset View Cemetery, Londonderry.
