Ruth Alma (Kesterson) Harbin

Ruth Alma (Kesterson) Harbin, 92, of Cambridge passed away Sunday (December 7, 2008) at Trumbull Memorial Hospital in Warren. She was born April 20, 1916 in Hooker, Ohio, daughter of the late John and Margaret (Johnston) Kesterson. Ruth was a homemaker, former employee of Universal Pottery and a member of Beckett United Methodist Church. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Ross Harbin Sr., whom she married January 21, 1938; one son, Carl Ross Harbin Jr.; five brothers, Alva, Arthur, Clarence, John & Charles; four sisters, Marie Berry, Gladys Young, Edith Jefferies and Margaret Samples; grandson, Alan Reese. She is survived by one son, Morris (Delores) Harbin of Cambridge; two daughters, Dixie (William) Reese of Tucson, AZ, and Deborah (Ted) Blessing of Warren; one sister, Betty Wilson of Glendale AZ; grandchildren, Julie Harbin, Brian (Lillian) Harbin, Jay Harbin, and Scott (Marilyn) Reese; great grandchildren, Chevy Davis, Carla Thompson, Kyle, Cory & Brianna Harbin, Svea and Kai Conrad, Jay and Kevin Quarles, Dane Palmer, Tre and Terrell Ford, Cassie and Christopher Harbin; great great grandchildren, Elijah and Destiny Chandler, Taylor and Isaiah Mayle and Kiley Harbin. Visitation will be Thursday from 11 - 2 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge with services to follow at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Randy Mercer officiating. Burial will be in Guernsey Memory Gardens.
