Ruth Ann Knight

Ruth Ann Knight, 79, of Cambridge, died Saturday (April 11, 2009) at the Genesis Hospice Morrison House, Zanesville. She was born on September 23, 1929 in Guernsey County, daughter of the late John R. Valentine and Vera Ruth (Keith) Valentine. She married George E. Knight on January 1, 1947. Mrs. Knight was a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, George, who died on September 18, 2006; a sister, Violet Morgan; and two brothers, Clyde & Dewey Valentine. She is survived by three sons, Jimmie (& Dixie) Knight, David Knight and Randy (& Valerie) Knight all of Cambridge; five grandchildren, Misty, Jimmie, Christina, Joshua and Jordan; two step-grandchildren, Louie and Amy; six great-grandchildren, Kilee, Caleb, Mackenzie, Kacie, Jenna and Ruby; and two step-great-grandchildren, Angel and Lexie. Family and friends may call on Monday from 6 to 9 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where services will be held on Tuesday (April 14, 2009) at 11 a.m. with Pastor Mark Slay officiating. Burial will be at Greenwood Cemetery, Byesville.
