Ruth Jean Reed, 90, of Quaker City, died Tuesday (July 31, 2012) at the Countryview Assisted Living Center, Lore City. She was born January 22, 1922 in Chester WV, daughter of the late Andrew E. Seyler and Alma (Jolly) Seyler. Mrs. Reed was a homemaker. She attended Four-Mile Hill Church of Cambridge. She loved her family and her church family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sam W. Reed, whom she married May 2, 1942; and two brothers, Harold and Alvin Seyler. She is survived by five sons, David (& Wanda) Reed of Cambridge, John (& Ann) Reed of Lore City, Alan (& Teresa) Reed of Jacksonville FL, Kelly (& Ethel) Reed of Kissimmee FL, and Philip Reed of Kissimmee FL; five daughters, Marydell (& Charles) Galloway of Quaker City, Arletta (& Kenneth) Johnson of Salesville, Janice (& Harley) Bates of Salesville, Renee (& Bill) Roe of Salesville, and Rhonda (& Lacy) Boney of Lore City; twenty-five grandchildren; and fifty-four great-grandchildren. Private services were held for the family. Burial was at the Osceola Memory Gardens, Kissimmee FL. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made in Jean's name to the Countryview Assisted Living Center Auxiliary, 62825 County Home Road, Lore City OH 43755.
