Ruth Ann Simcox

Ruth Ann Simcox, 68, passed Monday (October 3, 2016) in Harrisonville MO.

Ruth Ann was born November 20, 1947 in Logan OH to James Richard "Dick" and Delilah "Dee" Simcox.

After growing up in Ohio and graduating from Muskingum College, she went on to Northwestern for her Masters and sang in the Lyric Opera of Chicago. She enjoyed traveling and sailing, and loved a good steak.

She was preceded in death by her father in 1979 and her mother in 2013.

She is survived by her daughter, Laura Dee Hotalling and husband Nick of Peculiar MO; two grandchildren, Xander and Alera; and two brothers, Richard and David.

Graveside services will be held Sunday (October 16, 2016) at 3 p.m. at Mt. Hermon Cemetery with Rev. Deborah Bolen officiating.
