Sandra J. Martin

Sandra J. Martin, 72, of Cambridge, died Thursday (December 18, 2014) at the Beckett House at New Concord. She was born March 23, 1942 in Cambridge, daughter of the late Jack C. Wagstaff and Mary E. (Curran) Barber. Mrs. Martin was a homemaker. She was a member of the Eagles Aerie 386 Auxiliary and VFW Post 2901 Auxiliary. She was a 1960 graduate of Valley Local High School. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting, cooking, and crafting. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John Martin, who died March 15, 1991. They were married on February 16, 1963. Also deceased is a daughter, Mary E. Martin; and her step-father, Joe Barber. She is survived by two sons, John A. Martin of Cambridge and Timothy L. Martin of Cambridge; a daughter, Margaret D. (& Dwaine) Watson of Cambridge; a brother, Donald H. Wagstaff; a sister, Jacklin L. (& Gerald) Medsker of Phoenix AZ; her step-mother, Pat Wagstaff of Arizona; a step-brother, Richard A. Wagstaff of Arizona; a step-sister, Kim Brandon of Arizona; a brother-in-law, Joe (& Margaret) Martin of Cambridge; six grandchildren, Ciera Atkins, Thomas Martin, John "T.J." Watson, Alicia Martin, Steve Martin, and Regan (& Robbie) Rossiter; several step-grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Sunday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will be held Monday (December 22, 2014) at 1:30 p.m. Burial will be at East Union Cemetery.
