Sara Lee (Pollock) Stevens, 72, died Thursday (July 31, 2008) at the Cambridge Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born on June 27, 1936 in Coshocton, daughter of the late William Ledlie Pollock and Sarah (McAlister) Pollock. Mrs. Stevens retired from Metal Stamping after ten years of service. She also was a receptionist and a waitress. She was a member of Beckett United Methodist Church. Mrs. Pollock enjoyed knitting, working out and playing the piano. She was an excellent singer, too. She was a 1954 graduate of Coshocton High School and a member of the Cambridge VFW Auxiliary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Stevens, who died on March 9, 1992. She leaves a son, Bill Moore; three daughters, Brenda (& Mike) Wertz of Cambridge, Elaine (& Robert) Hildebrand of Byesville and Debbie (& John) Kneen of Zanesville; two step-sons, Lewis (& Charlotte) Stevens of Cambridge and Rodney (& Sandra) Stevens of Byesville; three step-daughters, Sherry Johnson of Byesville, Shelly Burris of Cambridge and Peggy Stevens of Byesville; seven grandchildren; and many close friends. No calling hours will be observed. Private family services were held.
