Sarah Alice Mccracken Kinnard

Sarah Alice McCracken Kinnard, 91, of Springfield, died Thursday (July 10, 2008) at Essex of Springfield. She was born on June 21, 1917 in Fairpoint (Belmont Co., OH), daughter of the late H. Ray McCracken and Isabell (Grove) McCracken. Mrs. Kinnard retired in 1981 from Credit Life Insurance of Springfield after sixteen years of services. She was active in DARE, Pi Beta Phi and genealogy research. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert B. Kinnard; and two sisters, Mary Denny and Margaret Thompson. She leaves two sons, Robert Kinnard of Springfield and William Kinnard of Columbus; a brother, William (& Dee) McCracken of Louisiana; a sister, Charlotte Bell of Kenton; two grandchildren, Clayton (& Cindy) Kinnard of Elk Grove CA and Jessica (& Ronald) Lech of Cincinnati; and a great-grandson. Family and friends may call on Wednesday (July 16, 2008) from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where services will follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. William Johnson officiating. Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge.
