Shane Joseph DeLucas, 38, of Cambridge, died Saturday (May 2, 2015) at his home. He was born September 7, 1976 in Cambridge, son of Joseph DeLucas and Nora (Day) Barstow. Mr. DeLucas was a graduate of John Glenn High School, where he played on the school's baseball and golf team. He later earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in business from Muskingum University. He loved sports and was a fan of the Chicago Cubs, Houston Rockets, and Pittsburgh Steelers. He was preceded in death by his grandmothers, Retha V. Day and Gladys Hague; his grandfathers, Graham Day and William DeLucas; and his step-grandma, Josephine Barstow. He is survived by his father and step-mother, Joseph and Vicki DeLucas of Cambridge; his mother and step-father, Nora and Rick Barstow; a sister, Shelly DeLucas (& Erica Toki) of Columbus; two step-sisters, Jamie (& Nicolas) Grisoni of Centerville and Carrie (& Ben) Matheney of Norwich; a step-brother, Rick (& Tami) Barstow of Mason; his step-grandparents, Walter and Shirley Blattner of Cambridge; and his step-grandpa, Gerald Barstow of Ft. Myers FL. He also leaves many friends, including a special friend, Chris Hunter of Cambridge; and many nephews, nieces, and cousins, including a special cousin, Kelly (& Chad) Owens of Worthington. No calling hours will be observed. Private services were held for the family with inurnment at the Northwood Cemetery Mausoleum, Cambridge.
