Sharon A. Griffith

Sharon A. Griffith, 71, of Cambridge, died Friday (July 12, 2013) at Southeastern Med. She was born Dec. 26, 1941, in Cambridge, daughter of the late Ralph E. and Goldie M. (Durben) Brock. Mrs. Griffith worked as a secretary for Buckeye Trail High School and at Cambridge Machine and Supply Company. She was a 1959 graduate of Cambridge High School. She was attended Faith United Methodist Church, where she was also very active in the Women's Prayer Group which met at Harvest Christian Fellowship, and will be greatly missed In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband's parents, William and Florence Griffith; brothers-in-law, Robert, Bernie, Darrell and Tommy Griffith; and sisters-in-law, Ethel Brokaw, Grace Watkins and Donna Wilwich. Sharon is survived by her husband, George W. Griffith; a son, Larry Dean (Mary Kay Anderson) Thompson of Lore City; a sister, Sandra E. (Charles) Kellstadt of Cambridge; a stepson, Brian; stepdaughters, Stacey, Brandi and Autumn; brothers-in-law, Buddy Barr, Danny (Betsy) Griffith, Terry (Pam) Griffith, Phil (Sharon) Griffith, Eddie Griffith and Timmy (Peg) Griffith; sisters-in-law, Cloris (Dave) Vance, Cindy (Jim ) Miller and Brenda (Don) Copley; grandchildren, Brandon, Jordan and Emilie Thompson of Lore City; several nieces, nephews and cousins; aunts, Mabel Jones of Wellsburg, W.Va., and Jen Oakley of Cambridge. A graveside service will be 1 p.m. Monday, July 15 in Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge, with Pastor Keith Peachey officiating. Friends and Family are invited to a meal and fellowship following the graveside service to be served at Faith United Methodist Church.
