Sharon L. Moore

Sharon L. Moore, 63, of Cambridge, died Monday (January 4, 2016) at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center, Columbus. She was born October 3, 1952 in Cambridge, daughter of the late Melvin Ronald Gray Sr. and Leota Beryl (Redd) Gray. Mrs. Moore was an employee of Cambridge City Schools for twenty years and was currently working as the administrative secretary for Cambridge Middle School. Caring for the students at Cambridge Middle School was very important to her. She was a 1970 graduate of Cambridge High School and earned her Associate's degree from Zane State. She was a member of the Fairview United Methodist Church and prepared the church's bulletin every week. She enjoyed crocheting, reading, and cooking. She is survived by her husband, David R. Moore, whom she married June 30, 1973; a son, John David (& Lyndsay) Moore of Marysville; a daughter, Kimberly Schupbach of Cambridge; a brother, Melvin (& Nancy) Gray Jr. of Cambridge; two sisters, Elizabeth Stefano of St. Marys PA and Cynthia (& Emmanuel) Bertubin of Cambridge; and four grandchildren, Kylee Schupbach, Gavin Moore, Lucas Moore, and Aiden Moore. Visitation will be held Thursday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will be held Friday (January 8, 2016) at 11 a.m. with Lay Servant/Leader Cindy Ward-Gloor and Pastor Clayton Coffey officiating. Burial will be at Guernsey Memory Gardens, Cambridge. As an expression of sympathy, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to the Guernsey County Cancer Society, 927 E Wheeling Avenue, Suite 205, Cambridge OH 43725.
