Shawn Robert Mcelroy

Shawn Robert McElroy, 46, of Cambridge, died Wednesday (February 2, 2022) at Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

He was born August 14, 1975 in Cambridge, son of Bobby Lee McElroy of Illinois, Cynthia (Wolfe) Goodman and step son of W. Lloyd Goodman of Cambridge.

He was graduate of Cambridge High School and Muskingum Area Technical College.

He was a Christian by faith and he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and going to the ocean to collect shells.

He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Charles and Marjorie Wolfe of Cambridge.

In addition to his parents he is survived by his fiancé Tracie Cox; his paternal grandparents of Mary and Jim McElroy of Byesville; by two sons Michael A. Latham of Cambridge, Stephen McElroy of Tuscarawas; two step sons Shawn Denham of Cambridge, Zachary (Tyler) Stewart of Cambridge; three daughters Ashlee Lovett of Charleston, IL, Krystina (Josh) Loy of Cowden, IL, Kylee (Bobby) Miller of Georgia; four step daughters, Courtney Demers of Massillon, Shadow Miller of Tuscarawas, Kayla Cox of Cambridge, Harley (Joey) Burrell of Cambridge; one brother Nathan Goodman of Cambridge; one step brother Jamie Goodman of Cambridge; one sister Hope (Ray) Bradshaw of Cambridge; one step sister Angie Shaffer; ten grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and good friends; he also leaves behind his work family of 15 years at Miller's Lube.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 26, at 2pm at Stop Nine Church of Christ. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial contributions be sent to the Stop Nine Church of Christ, 60330 Southgate Road Byesville, Ohio 43723.

Friends and family are welcome, but due to COVID-19 please take all necessary precautions to ensure your safety and everyone else's should you decide to attend.
