Shelba Jean Grindstaff, 80, of Cambridge, died Thursday (October 24, 2019) at Cambridge Care & Rehab.
She was born April 5, 1939, daughter of the late Virgil Grindstaff and Freda (Gibson) Grindstaff.
Miss Grindstaff was a member of the Church of Christ and she enjoyed going to church.
She enjoyed listening to music and singing programs at the nursing home, with her favorite song to sing being In the Garden . She loved drinking Coke, eating Theo's chocolate pie and Reese's cups.
She always liked to look nice and loved colorful socks – she had over one hundred pairs. She loved her stuffed animals, too.
She is survived by her uncle and aunt, Ellis & Opal Gibson of Cambridge; several cousins; and her friends at Cambridge Care & Rehab who loved her and will miss her dearly.
Visitation will be held Tuesday (October 29, 2019) from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Evang. Mark Beros officiating.
Burial will be at Center Cemetery.
