Shirley Ann Porter

Shirley Ann Porter, 82, of Cambridge, passed away Monday (July 5, 2021) at her home surrounded by her loving family.

She was born March 16, 1939 in Wooster, daughter of the late Maynard and Virginia (Morr) Mowrer.

Shirley worked at Champion Spark Plug where she retired after 30 years of service.  She enjoyed traveling, playing cards, and entertaining with close family.

Shirley is survived by her husband, Robert Lane Porter whom she married May 3, 1959; a sister Carol (Jim) Young of Venice, FL; three nieces, Carolyn Saft of Cambridge, Barbara (Rocky) Menzie of Cambridge and Deborah (Ross) Nelson of Salesville; one nephew Anthony Santero of Indianapolis, IN; several great nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Pound Partners, P.O. Box 1384, Cambridge, Ohio  43725.

Visitation will be Thursday July 8 ^th from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge with services to follow at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor Jim Gibson officiating.  Burial will follow in Northwood Cemetery
