Shirley B. Wade, 56, of New Concord, died Thursday (September 27, 2007) at her home. She was born on May 7, 1951 in Cambridge, daughter of the late Carl Willard Dodd and Evelyn June (Walters) Dodd. Mrs. Wade was a former employee of Riesbeck's, where she had been a cashier. She was a 1969 graduate of John Glenn High School. She was a devoted mother and grandmother. Mrs. Wade attended the Bloomfield United Presbyterian Church. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Leonard Wade Sr., who died on November 15, 2000 and whom she married on December 6, 1974; and three grandchildren, James Leonard Stull, Samantha Jo Stull and Mackenzie Lin Shepherd. She leaves eight children, Cindy (& Jim) Stull, Richard (& Brandy) Dodd, Crystal (& Randy Morrow) Beach, Harold "B.J." Wade Jr., Christina (& Phillip) Shepherd, Arnold Wade and Candace (& Rob Haugh) Wade all of New Concord and Lisa Shaffer of Byesville; a sister, June (& Thomas E.) Galbreath of Cambridge; eight grandchildren, Katlyn Beach, Robin Dodd, Jessie Shaffer, Mark Shaffer, Blaze Haugh, Braxton Dodd, Maddie Morrow and Tyler Wade; and a special friend, Chris Durst of New Concord. Family and friends may call on Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge. Funeral services will be held on Monday (October 1, 2007) at 11 a.m. at the Bloomfield United Presbyterian Church with Rev. Marty Radcliff officiating. Burial will be at Bloomfield Cemetery.
