Stanley R. Clifford, 47, of Cambridge, died Friday (April 18, 2008) at his home. He was born on November 3, 1960 in Cambridge, son of E. Louise (Harris) Clifford and the late Charles Kenneth Clifford. Mr. Clifford worked for fourteen years at Essex and also had worked at Burger King. He was a member of the Stop Nine Church of Christ, Byesville. Mr. Clifford attended Cambridge High School. He was a self-taught karate expert. He enjoyed teaching karate lessons and giving exhibitions. He spent countless hours at the Cambridge basketball courts. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by Denise, who was the mother of his son, Antonio. He leaves his mother, E. Louise (Harris) Clifford of Cambridge; sons, Brandon Clifford who is currently serving his second tour of duty in Iraq, Antonio of Zanesville, Matthew; a daughter, Kashwana Clifford of Zanesville; his former wife, Terri; Macinda Rutter, the mother of his daughter; three grandchildren; siblings, Charles Clifford II of Newark, Richard (& Denise) Clifford of Delaware, Matthew Clifford of Columbus; Diane Moore of Columbus, Mark (& Kelly) Clifford of Cambridge, Luke (& Jackie) Clifford of Baltimore, Theresa Collins of Columbus and Sheila (& Barry) Cook of Columbus; nineteen nieces & nephews; several great-nieces & great-nephews. In accordance with the family's wishes, Mr. Clifford was cremated. Family and friends may call on Friday from 3 to 4 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday (May 2, 2008) at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge.
