Stephen Ford Iii

Stephen Ford III, 26, of Cambridge, passed away Wednesday (October 21, 2015) at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, due to a rare fungus infection of the brain. Stephen was born March 31, 1989 in Cambridge, the son of Stephen C. Ford Jr, and Tina Marie Hazinakis Ford, both of Cambridge. Stephen worked in the constuction industry. He was a 2007 graduate of Cambridge High School, where he was a standout Bobcat football player, holding several school records. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, spending time with family and friends, and was a follower of all sports. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Pete Hazinakis, and paternal grandmother, Rose Marie Ford. In addition to his parents, Stephen is survived by four brothers, Tyler, Tre, Terrell, and Nicholas Ford, all of Cambridge; a sister, Tyranne Russell of Cambridge; paternal grandfather, Stephen C. "Pet" Ford Sr. of Cambridge; maternal grandmother, Diana Marlene Funk Hazinakis of Cambridge; a nephew, Teandre Russell; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Cremation has taken place. Memorial visitation hours will be held for Stephen from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday (October 27, 2015) at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge. No funeral services will be held at this time.
