Stephen K. Keylor

Stephen K. Keylor, 66, of Cambridge, died at his home surrounded by his family and friends following a three-year battle with cancer. He was born August 21, 1948 in Barnesville, son of Kenneth Keylor and Wanda (Johnson) Keylor. Mr. Keylor retired from March Electric after thirty years of service. He was a 1966 Zane Trace High School graduate. He was an avid golfer and poker player. He was a fan of the Buckeye Trail Warriors, The Ohio State Buckeyes, the Cleveland Browns, Harley Davidson motorcycles, and Bob Dylan. Mr. Keylor was a US Navy veteran, having served from 1967 to 1969. He was preceded in death by an infant daughter, Jessica Shannon. He is survived by his companion of eight years, Judy Lingle of Cambridge; his parents, Kenneth and Wanda Keylor of Fairview; a son, Derek Keylor of Cambridge; two daughters, Melissa (& Kenny) Burris of Quaker City and Amy (& Neil) Hollingshead of Tuscaloosa AL; three brothers, Michael (& Sherri) Keylor of Bellefontaine, Mark Keylor of Somerton, and Stuart Keylor of Quaker City; a sister, Kimberly (& Robert "Zoo") Smith of Fairview; eight grandchildren, Dylan Keylor, Cory Joiner, Dakota Burris, Ryan Hollingshead, Melinda Burris, Spencer Hollingshead, Jackson Hollingshead, and Rainey Hollingshead; several nieces and nephews; and his many golfing and poker friends. Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will be held Thursday (February 26, 2015) at 11 a.m. with Evang. Mark Beros officiating. Burial will be at Fairview Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Guernsey Inc., PO Box 1165, Cambridge OH 43725.
