Sue Brothers Klukas

November 19, 1936 — June 27, 2010

Sue Brothers Klukas, 73, was welcomed into the arms of our Heavenly Father on June 27, 2010. She passed away at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, Ohio. Sue was born and raised in Cambridge, Ohio, daughter of the late Randall "Pete" and Lois (Campbell) Brothers. She graduated from Cambridge High School in 1955 and then graduated from Columbus Business College. She married her loving husband, Bill Klukas, in 1958. Over the forty-four years they were together, they created a wonderful family and made forever friends wherever life took them. She was an exemplary mother and role model to her three daughters. Through the years, Sue and Bill lived together in Ohio, Nevada, Pennsylvania and Iowa. They finally returned home to Ohio in 2002. Sue was a long-time member of Community of Christ Church, but since returning home to Cambridge, she was attending First Christian Church on Beatty Avenue. Sue cherished spending time with her family and friends. She enjoyed shopping, quilting, crocheting and watching shows & musicals. She loved volunteering her time for both the church and also within the community. She is survived by her three children, Becky (& Tom) Ritz of Trophy Club TX, Linda Sue (& Tom) Bennett of Harrisburg PA and Peggy (& Bob) Gardner of Camp Hill PA; two brothers, Tom (& Reba) Brothers and Jim (& Mary) Brothers; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday (July 3, 2010) at the Northwood Cemetery Mausoleum Chapel, Cambridge, with Rev. Terry Tate officiating. Burial will follow at Northwood Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in Sue's name to Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Attn: Donor Services, PO Box 650309, Dallas TX 75265-0309.
