Susan Diane (Laishley) Durben

Susan Diane (Laishley) Durben, 68, of Kimbolton, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2023, at SEORMC.

Susan was born on September 1, 1954, a daughter to the late John Laishley and Juanita (Durben) Harbin.

She enjoyed playing bingo, going to casinos, and spending time with her family. Susan worked in the kitchen at Salt Fork. She was Pentecostal by Faith.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her daughter-in-law, Amanda Edwards.

Susan is survived by her husband Chris Durben, whom she married on April 7, 1994, three sons, Jimmy Edwards, Chad Edwards, and Graften Edwards, all of Cambridge, two daughters, Amanda Gonzalez of Cambridge and Britiany Durben of Byesville, and one brother, John (Cassie) Laishely of Cambridge. Also left to cherish her memory are her eight grandchildren, Taylor, Brea, Jaelyn, Williams, Alanta, Wayne, Jimmy, and Tyler, two great grandchildren, Coleson and Linc her mother-in-law, Cassandra Frill, as well as her dog Luna, her cat, Sissy Sue, her two special friends, Cassie Laishley, Brenda Mitchell, and Olivia Holdcroft, her honorary daughter, Stacy Bodenheimer, and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2023, from 5-8PM at Thorn Black Funeral Home, with a service the following day on Wednesday, July 26, 2023, at 11AM with a burial to follow at North Salem Cemetery. Pastor Ernie Norman will be officiating.
