Terry L. Porter, 66, of Cambridge, died Friday (July 31, 2015) at his home. He was born November 1, 1948 in Elm Grove WV, son of the late George E. Porter Jr. and Betty Carol (Burger) Porter-Harris. Mr. Porter had worked at NCR and later retired from Ridge Tool. He was a member of the Moose Lodge of Cambridge and a social member of the Kipling VFW Post 7371. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers. He is survived by his wife, Marsha (Masters) Porter, whom he married June 16, 1999; a daughter, Tiffany Porter of Dillonvale; four stepchildren, Carla (& Scott) Harris of Clarksburg WV, Brett (& Kelley) Willis of Fort Worth TX, Amanda (& Shawn) Fogle of Chicago IL, and Nicole Abrams (& Steve Cross) of Byesville; a sister, Pat Worrell of Rayland; eleven step-grandchildren; four step-great-grandchildren; his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Martha Trenner and Malcolm Masters; several sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law; his aunt and uncle, Nancy and Bill Hatcher of Elm Grove WV; and many nieces & nephews. Visitation will be held Monday (August 3, 2015) from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge. As an expression of sympathy, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Guernsey Inc., PO Box 1165, Cambridge OH 43725.
