Rev. Terry A. Tate, 74, of Cambridge, died Saturday (May 23, 2020) at Southeastern Med.
He was born September 26, 1945 in Toledo, son of the late Stuart Tate and June (Towle) Tate.
Rev. Tate was a retired clergyman, having served in the Cambridge area for twenty-two years with the Christian Church Disciples of Christ.
He earned his Bachelor's degree from The Ohio State University and his Master's degree of Divinity from the Christian Theological Seminary.
He enjoyed camping, fishing, and golfing. He was a big fan of The Ohio State University Buckeyes.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Jeremy Tate.
He is survived by his wife, Pamela (Dexter) Tate, whom he married March 3, 1967; three sons, Jeffery Tate of Woodville, James Tate of Toledo, and Jacob (Jamie) Tate of Lima; a daughter, Josie Tate of Cambridge; a sister, Tammy (Forrest) Thompson of Cambridge; fourteen grandchildren, Kalyn (Jon), Hannah, Morgan, Gracie, Anthony, Devin, Sarah (Connor), Taylor, Parker, Emma, Landon, Kaleb (Katie), Acacia, and Jeremiah; and two great-grandchildren, Emelyn and Luna.
A "Celebration of Life" will be held Saturday ( JUNE 20, 2020 ) at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, with memorial visitation from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m. and "A Sharing of Stories" from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m.
