Thelma A. Booth, 83, of Cambridge, died Saturday (May 14, 2011) at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge. She was born January 5, 1928 in Gypsy WV, daughter of the late Vernon Greathouse and Myrtle (Kenny) Greathouse. She married Frank J. Booth on June 29, 1946. Mrs. Booth was a homemaker. She was a former member of the First Christian Church. Mrs. Booth was a member of the Guernsey County Senior Citizens Center and a life member of the VFW Post 2901 Auxiliary. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank J. Booth, who died September 14, 1982; a son, Chris; five sisters; four brothers; and a great-grandchild. She is survived by three sons, Frank (& Phyllis) Booth of Pleasant City, Larry (& Richelle) Booth of Nolanville TX, and Jeff (& Amy) Booth of Reynoldsburg; a daughter, Sheri (& George) Conner of Cambridge; a brother, Miles (& Barbara) Greathouse of Newcomerstown; two sisters, Lola Greathouse of Newcomerstown and Jane (& Henry) Burns of Mt. Nebo WV; eleven grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Family and friends may call on Wednesday (May 18, 2011) from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 2 p.m. with Rev. Chuck Simpson officiating. Burial will be at Guernsey Memory Gardens, Cambridge.
