Thelma May Miller

Thelma May "Bim" Miller, 86, of Cambridge, died Sunday (December 9, 2012) at her home with her family by her side. She was born December 6, 1926 in Cambridge, daughter of the late Harry Beynon and Fannie (Tedrick) Beynon. Ms. Miller had worked at The Tin Shop, Universal Pottery, Aggies, and Essex Wire. She was Methodist by faith. Ms. Miller loved traveling - especially going on cruises. She enjoyed listening to country music every night, with her favorites being Elvis Presley and Willie Nelson. She loved drinking hot, hot tea and made excellent pumpkin pies. She enjoyed the teachings of Evangelist Joyce Meyer. She was an avid doll collector. She cherished spending time with her children and grandchildren. She believed in earning what you have. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by the father of her children, Ronald Miller; and two brothers, Max Beynon and Bill Beynon. She is survived by four daughters and their families: Judy Morris and her children, Brenda, Tammy, Missy, Susan, Danielle, and Josh; Linda Adams and her children, Paula, Paul, and Christal; Cathy (& Dr. Ed) Conaway and their children, Eddie and Bryan; and Carolyn (& Steve) Pratt and their children, Carly, Julie, and Kristen. She is also survived by a sister, Helen Yoho of Cambridge; two step-grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren, Katelin, Jessica, Caleb, Michelle, Spencer, Jessica, Darick, Kendra, Chance, Shane, Austin, and Levi; three great-great-grandchildren; two nieces, Connie Yoho (& Arnold) Williams and Sandy Dunlap; a sister-in-law, Catherine Walker of Cambridge; a niece, Susan Gaton; a nephew, Bobby Walker; and her close friends, Judy Beadle and Paula & Russ Murphy. The family would like to express special thanks to Hospice of Guernsey Inc., and also to Julie Earl, Tory Fields, and Dr. Sandra Schubert. Family and friends may call on Friday (December 14, 2012) from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 2:30 p.m. with Rev. Todd Lackie and Pastor Joe Summers officiating. Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge. As an expression of sympathy, the family asks that memorial contributions be made in Thelma's name to Hospice of Guernsey Inc., PO Box 1165, Cambridge OH 43725.
