Thomas E. Merritt

Thomas E. Merritt, 75, of Altamonte FL and formerly of Cambridge, died Saturday (January 19, 2019).

He was born September 2, 1943 in Cambridge, son of the late Robert Merritt and Mildred (Gamble) Merritt.

A 1960 graduate of Cambridge High School, Mr. Merritt had worked as a supervisor at Ekco Housewares for many years.

He was a member of the Annunciation Catholic Church of Altamonte FL.

He was an avid golfer and a devout fan of The Ohio State Buckeyes.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert; a sister, Marlene; a stepson; and a step-granddaughter.

He is survived by his companion of twenty-seven years, Cecilia Ravak; two sons, Chris & Janelle Merritt of Howard and Michael & Ericks Sierra-Merritt of Orlando; two daughters, Beth & Bill Andrews of Pickerington and Regina & Ernest Smith of New Concord; a stepdaughter, Janice & Larry Seiner of Wingate NC; three stepsons, Brian & Shelly Ravak of Las Cruces NM, Kevin Ravak of Moscow ID, and Aaron Ravak of Altamonte FL; a sister, Elaine Wells of Cambridge; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and five step-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Saturday (January 26, 2019) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Father Paul Hrezo officiating.

Burial will be at Guernsey Memory Gardens, Cambridge.
