Thomas Duane Williams, 80, of New Concord, passed away Wednesday (September 20, 2006) at Genesis-Good Samaritan Medical Center, Zanesville. He was born May 27, 1926 in Guernsey County, son of the late Ben Williams and Mabel (Eisnagle) Williams. Mr. Williams retired from McGraw-Edison of Zanesville. He was a 32nd degree Master Mason and a member of the Zanesville Masonic Lodge F&AM. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite Valley of Cambridge and the Highway Patrol Auxiliary. Mr. Williams was Methodist by faith. He was a U.S. Navy veteran, having served during World War II. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Eileen (Gregg) Williams, who passed away on March 17, 1974. They were married on September 28, 1951. Also deceased are two brothers, Ben Williams and David L. Williams; and a sister, Rita Williams Finch. He leaves a son, Samual (& Dixie) Williams of Byesville; a daughter, Suellen (& Bill) Gibson of Cambridge; two grandchildren, Sam (& Tracey) Williams II of Cambridge and Brad Gibson of Cambridge; two great-grandchildren, Jorden Williams and Hunter Williams; a step-great-granddaughter, Page Lagneaux; and several nieces & nephews. Family and friends may call on Monday (September 25, 2006) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where services will follow at 1 p.m. with Rev. Don Fairchild officiating. Burial will be at Guernsey Memory Gardens, Cambridge, with military graveside services conducted by the Guernsey Co. Veterans Council.
