Thomas "Shane" Williamson, 47, of Cambridge, died Sunday (September 14, 2014) at Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge, as the result of a motorcycle accident. He was born March 24, 1967 in Zanesville, son of Judi (Seckons) Smith and the late George Thomas Williamson. Mr. Williamson was a foreman/mechanic with NPL and a member of Union Hall #809. He was a 1985 graduate of John Glenn High School. He was a member of the Cambridge Moose Lodge and the Cambridge VFW Auxiliary. He enjoyed poker runs, hot rods, and riding his Harley with his wife, Rona. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his wife, Rona Lee (Huff) Williamson, whom he married in April of 2011; and his grandparents, Thomas George and Alice Williamson. He is survived by his mother, Judi Smith of New Concord; a son, Josh (& Ashton) Williamson of Barnesville; a daughter, Courtney (& James) Bates of Senecaville; a sister, Shannon (& Rob) Rickeart of New Concord; a brother, Dustin (& Lindsay) Smith of Charlotte NC; three grandchildren, Zyler Bates, Kaelyn Williamson, and Kamron Williamson; two nieces, Mackenzie and Madison; and the family pets, Jersey the cat and Ryder the dog. Visitation will be held Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will be held Saturday (September 20, 2014) at 1 p.m. with Pastors Jeff Eschbaugh and Bob Merritt officiating. Burial will be at Oak Grove Cemetery, Smyrna.
