Thomas Eugene Young

Thomas Eugene Young, 75, of Cambridge, died Thursday (August 6, 2009) at the Cambridge Health & Rehabilitation Center. He was born August 7, 1933 in Portsmouth, son of the late Walieta Foster. Mr. Young was a truck driver and had worked at Colgate-Palmolive for six years. He was a U.S. Navy and a U.S. Coast Guard veteran. He was a member of the Eagles Aerie 386 of Cambridge. He is survived by his wife, Cheryl (Green) Young, whom he married October 19, 1991; three daughters, Nancy (& Ronnie) Burt of Buffalo, Rosie Young of Cambridge and Cheryl Furbee of Cambridge; a step-son, Daryell Mitchell of Cambridge; a step-daughter, Amelia Lytle of Cambridge; and eleven grandchildren. Graveside services will be held on Monday (August 17, 2009) at 11 a.m. at Northwood Cemetery, with military graveside services conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council.
