Tonya Dawn Grimsley

Tonya Dawn Grimsley, 59, of Cambridge passed away after a short but courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, February 26, 2026, at her home.

She was born September 8, 1966, in Marietta to Dorothy M Barnes and the late Donald W Harding.

She attended Fort Frye High School and worked at the Wrangler Tavern for several years.

In addition to her father, she is preceded in death by her step father, Darrell F Barnes Jr and her step- sister, Jami Donnell Dillon

She is survived by her husband, Ed Grimsley; her son, Catlin (& Nikki) Harding; her daughter, Shakira (& Will) Burns; her step- daughter, Nicole Barnhart; her brothers, Jonathan (& Jessica) Barnes and Justin (& LeAnn) Barnes; her sisters, Deidre (& Rod) Hendershot and Jackie (Darren) Kirkbride; two grandchildren, Ryleigh and Julius Harding; one step grandchild, Brooke Barnhart; her dog companion, Leah and several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at Thorn- Black Funeral Home in Cambridge, from 5PM- 8PM on Tuesday, March 3, 2026 with the funeral being held the next day at 11AM. Burial will follow at Northwood Cemetery.
