V. Sue Wagstaff, 87, of Cambridge, died Monday (March 18, 2019) at the Countryview Assisted Living Center, Lore City.
She was born October 11, 1931 in Weirton WV, daughter of the late John T. Johnson and Amanda (Riggs) Johnson.
A 1950 graduate of Cambridge High School, Mrs. Wagstaff had worked as a lab tech for many years.
She was a former member of the VFW Auxiliary.
Mrs. Wagstaff was Baptist by faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Robert Orr; three sons, Greg Orr, Mike Orr, and Rick Orr; three brothers, Donald Johnson, William Johnson, and Ray Johnson; and three sisters, Lillian Densmore, Jean Westover, and Doris Callihan.
She is survived by her husband, Harold Raymond Wagstaff, whom she married July 31, 1982; a daughter, Jacqueline Compton of Muscatine IA; six grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; and many nieces & nephews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday (March 20, 2019) from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. with Pastor Mark Slay officiating.
Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge.
