Valerie J. House

Valerie J. House, 69, of Quaker City, died Wednesday (March 28, 2018) at her home. She was born December 6, 1948 in Bellaire, daughter of the late Vallis Clifton House and Margaret Thelma (Dodson) House. A graduate of Zane Trace High School, Miss House had worked at NCR and later retired from Picoma Industries after twenty years of service. She was a member of the Salesville Church of Faith and the Esther Circle. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Patricia A. Conard; and an infant grandson, Jake Alan Roe. She is survived by a daughter, Stephanie (& Alan) Roe of Quaker City; a sister, Grace (& Dennis) Stephen of Barnesville; her nieces, Carla (& James) Powell of Quaker City, Melissa Carper of Quaker City, and Jennifer (& Rick) Taylor of Barnesville; a special niece, Dee Starr of Barnesville; several other nieces and nephews; and many friends. Visitation will be held Saturday (March 31, 2018) from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home-Black Funeral Home, Quaker City, where funeral services will follow at 5 p.m. with Pastor Perry Baranich officiating.
