Vaunda L. Orum

Vaunda L. Orum, 76, of Quaker City, died Monday (October 22, 2018) at Riverside Methodist Hospital, Columbus.

She was born May 29, 1942 in Wheeling WV, daughter of the late Alfred Swager and Laura (Bisset) Swager.

Mrs. Orum was a homemaker. She enjoyed taking care of her children and grandchildren, as well as all the kids in the neighborhood.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William B. "Bill" Orum, who died May 16, 2016. They were married November 22, 1958. Also deceased is a sister, Linda Williams; a grandson, Justin Secrest; and a nephew, Ronald Williams.

She is survived by two sons, William Paul Orum of Quaker City and Daren (& Bonnie) Orum of Quaker City; two daughters, Laura (& Joseph) Malinak of Quaker City and Rose Ragoli of Yorkville; ten grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held Friday (October 26, 2018) from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Quaker City, where funeral services will follow at 1 p.m. with Pastor Jeff Eschbaugh officiating.

Burial will be at Friends Cemetery, Quaker City, at a later date.
