Velma Louise Farley, 76, of Cambridge, passed away Tuesday (September 5, 2006) at Genesis-Good Samaritan Medical Center, Zanesville. She was born January 19, 1930 in Cambridge, daughter of the late Lee R. Bennett and Edna Blanche (Whissel) Bennett. Mrs. Farley retired after twenty-six years with G.E. of New Concord, where she had been an assembler. She was a member of Unity Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed boating, traveling and dining out. She cherished spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sons, Donald Michael and Terry Allen; a sister, Florence Eileen Farley; and two brothers, Marcus and Leroy. She leaves her husband, Donald Farley of the home, whom she married on November 19, 1949; a daughter, Debbie (& Garry) Edwards of Cambridge; a brother, Donald (& Mabel) Bennett of Harrietsville; a sister, Edna Mae Ball of Cambridge; nine grandchildren, Chris, Jason, Scott, Misty, Karla, Kacee, Kelsey, Luke and Michael; and eleven great-grandchildren, Jacob, Gwen, Melody, Ethan, Eli, Brayden, Chelsie, Missy, Sydney, Noah and Megan. Family and friends may call on Thursday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where services will be held on Friday (September 8, 2006) at 1 p.m. with Chaplain Vernon Small officiating. Burial will be at Guernsey Memory Gardens, Cambridge.
