Vergie Mae Jones (Wilson) Perry

Vergie Mae (Wilson) Jones Perry, 98, formerly of Cambridge and Old Washington, died Tuesday (July 8, 2008) at the Millbrook Home in Longmont CO. She was born on October 22, 1909 in Cambridge, daughter of the late Reynold E. Wilson and Josephine (Clipner) Wilson. Mrs. Perry was a retired electronics assembly worker. She was a member of Salem Baptist Church. Her grandfather, John F. Wilson, was one of the founders of the First Baptist Church of Cambridge. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Leon G. Perry; two sons, Thomas "Tom" Jones and Ronald L. "Ronnie" Jones; a daughter, Marjorie "Margie" Jones Cassan; two brothers, James Wilson and Woodrow Wilson; and two sisters, Daisy Thompson and Mary Tedrick. She leaves a daughter, Geri Stiers of Longmont CO; ten grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. No calling hours will be observed. Graveside services will be held on Monday (July 14, 2008) at 1 p.m. at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge, with Pastor Mark Smith officiating.
