Victor Eugene Hamilton

Victor Eugene Hamilton, 61, of Cambridge, died Wednesday (December 8, 2021) at Southeastern Med.

He was born December 6, 1960 in Pittsburgh PA, son of Fannie (Bell) Harris and the late Joseph S. Hamilton.

He was a 1980 graduate of Cambridge High School and a US Army veteran.

He loved the Steelers and The Ohio State Buckeyes.  He enjoyed singing karaoke and loved the music of the 80s.  He was always happy and loved spending time with his family.

Mr. Hamilton was a member of the St. Paul CME Church.

In addition to his father, he was preceded by his stepfather, Jack Harris.

He is survived by his mother, Fannie Harris of Cambridge; two sons, Edward (Danielle) Hamilton of Columbus and Dre (Insaisha) Merriman of Columbus; four daughters, Yvonne (Brian) Hylton of Huntington WV, Victoria (Ryan) Speakes of Dayton, MacKenzie (Derek) Touville of Cambridge, and Desirae Merriman of Columbus; two brothers, Joseph Hamilton of Cambridge and James (Grace) Hamilton of Zanesville; a sister, Juanita Hamilton of Cambridge; ten grandchildren, Braden Shepherd, Bryson Shepherd, Tanner Hylton, Peyton Speakes, Olivia Speakes, Winston Speakes, Maclane Speakes, Aries Hamilton, London Prim, and Deagan Touville; and many nieces & nephews.

Visitation will be held Monday (December 13, 2021) from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where services will follow at 6 p.m. with Pastor Randolph White officiating. Friends and family are welcome, but due to COVID-19 please take all necessary precautions to ensure your safety and everyone else's should you decide to attend.

Military honors conducted by the Guernsey County Veterans Council will follow the services at the funeral home.
