Victor "Allen" Harding, 57, of Cambridge and formerly of Freeport, died Tuesday (February 17, 2009) at the Southeastern Ohio Regional Medical Center, Cambridge. He was born on January 23, 1952 in Wheeling WV, son of the late William E. Harding and Shirley A. (Harper) Harding. Mr. Harding was an over-the-road trucker for U.S. Xpress for many years. He was also a certified diesel mechanic. Mr. Harding attended Freeport High School. He was an avid NASCAR fan and enjoyed anything to do with cars. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Cambie Mills. He is survived by his wife, Anita (Foraker) Harding of the home, whom he married on June 22, 1992; his children, Stephanie (& Jason) Burris of Cambridge, Stacey (& Sean) Wildes of Salesville, Jessica (& Dustin Mills) Harding of Cambridge, Tina (& Grafton) Edwards of Cambridge and Trae Harding of the home; his step-children, Tabatha (& Mike) Barnhart-Snodgrass of Cambridge, Zac (& Christy) Barnhart of Cambridge and Lacie (& Joe) Phillips of the home; two brothers, Bill (& Marlene) Harding of Delaware and George (& Kathy) Harding of Cambridge; nine grandchildren, Ian, Joley, Brittani, Bethani, Brayden, Kaden, Brendan, Evan and Gracie; several nieces, nephews and friends; an aunt and an uncle. Family and friends may call on Friday from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where services will be held on Saturday (February 21, 2009) at 10:30 a.m. Burial will be at Northwood Cemetery, Cambridge.
