Violet M. Jeffries

Violet (Vi) M. Jeffries, age 86, of Cambridge, Ohio passed away at home on December 23, 2021, after a short illness. Beloved wife and devoted mother, she was born in Richwood, WV on March 30, 1935. She was the only child of Gertrude and Cecil Rankin, who both preceded her in death. Stepdaughter Carlotta Pierce also preceded her in death.

Vi was married to Richard L. Reedy for thirty-three years, who also preceded her in death. She met and fell in love with Thomas E. Jeffries and was married to him for twenty-three years, until her death. She is survived by her seven children: David Reedy (Jan), Douglas Reedy (Wendy), Diane Marie, Stephen Reedy (Sara), Lori Jones (Butch), Cynthia Angel (Dave), and Daniel Reedy (Shayla), one stepson Stephen Cochran (Sharon), and one stepdaughter Sheila Cochran. She also had over twenty grandchildren and thirty great-grandchildren.

Vi was baptized on June 10, 1970, as one of Jehovah's Witnesses and served faithfully, alongside her husband, as members of the Cambridge, Ohio Congregation.  She moved to Ohio when she was nineteen. She held various jobs throughout her life, including assisting her husband in running a farm in Fresno Ohio. She had a unique sense of humor and enjoyed watching old westerns and tv shows with her husband. Her memory will be cherished by all who knew her.

A memorial service is being held Saturday, January 22, 2022, at 1:00 p.m. through Zoom.
