Virgil Larry Waugh

Virgil Larry Waugh, 79, of Quaker City, passed away on Thursday, June 13, 2024, at his home.

Virgil was born on January 16, 1945, in Wayne, WV, a son to the late Luther and Sally (Farley) Waugh.

He enjoyed woodworking, was an all-around fixer, and would do anything for anyone. Virgil worked as a carpenter and was a United States Navy Veteran.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by four brothers.

Virgil is survived by his wife of forty years, Dorothy (Jenkins) Waugh, his son, Kevin Waugh of Quaker City, his daughter, Renada Ballengee of Salesville, four brothers, Chester (Wanda) Waugh of Ironton, Hilbert Waugh of Ironton, Carl (Alma) Waugh of Florida, and Gary Waugh of Columbus, and two grandchildren, Jason Grady Jr., and Jonathan Albaugh.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, from 12-1PM at Thorn Black Funeral Home in Cambridge with the graveside service to follow at Guernsey County Memory Gardens.
