Virginia Armbruster

Virginia Armbruster, 80, of Cambridge, died Sunday (December 20, 2015) at Astoria Place of Cambridge. She was born July 16, 1935 in Richey County WV, daughter of the late Gail Valentine and Beulah (Lewis) Valentine. Mrs. Armbruster worked at JL Coates Company for thirty years, where she had been an office manager. She was a member of the Eagles Aerie 386 Auxiliary and the VFW Post 2901 Auxiliary. She enjoyed crocheting. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother. She is survived by her husband, John "Jack" Armbruster; two sons, Paul (& Kim) Kerns of Cambridge, and Charles "Chuck" (& Cheryl) Kerns of Belle Valley; a stepdaughter, Heather (& Carl) Blosser of Millersburg; six grandchildren, Jerry (& Karla) Kerns of Salesville, Karrie (& Carl) Allen of Old Washington, Kristin (& Chad) Parker of Zanesville, Kasi Kerns of Dayton, Tara (& Ryan) Jefferis of Kimbolton, and Jadyn Kerns of Cambridge; seven great-grandchildren; and the father of her children, Charles R. (& Bonnie) Kerns of Senecaville. Visitation will be held Wednesday (December 23, 2015) from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge. No funeral services will be held at this time.
