Virginia Fay Hyde, 88, of Lore City and formerly of Summerfield, died Monday (January 9, 2012) at her home. She was born May 20, 1923 in Salesville, daughter of the late Ernest C. Roe and Wilda Marie (Warehime) Roe. Mrs. Hyde was a homemaker. She was a member of the Salesville Church of Faith. Mrs. Hyde was a 1941 graduate of Quaker City High School. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Hyde, who died December 28, 2009. They were married on August 2, 1963. Also deceased are three brothers, Ralph William Roe, Wilford Scott Roe, and Howard E. Roe. She is survived by a brother, Ernest (& Shirley) Roe Jr. of Lore City; five sisters-in-law, Marion, Helen, Faye, Elaine, and Katheryn; two brothers-in-law, Bill & Richard; and several nieces & nephews. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Quaker City, where funeral services will be held on Thursday (January 12, 2012) at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jim Lee and Pastor Jeff Eschbaugh officiating. Burial will be at Friends Cemetery, Quaker City.
