Virginia King, 95, of Cambridge, died Sunday (October 8, 2017) at Cambridge Health & Rehabilitation Center.
She lived a long and good life and will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She was born October 12, 1921 on the family farm in Senecaville, daughter of the late Clifford Saltsgaver and Juel (Riggs) Saltsgaver.
Ms. King began her career as a teller at the former Central National Bank.
She later retired from the Ohio State Highway Patrol where she had been a clerk typist for many years.
She was a member of the Ohio State Highway Patrol Retirees.
She was a 1936 graduate of Senecaville High School.
One of her favorite activities was shopping with her sisters.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Sarah Moore and Helen Cater.
She is survived by a son, Martin King of Columbus; a daughter, Judith King (& Tony Combs) of Cambridge; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Visitation will be held Wednesday (October 11, 2017) from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will be held Thursday (October 12, 2017) at 11 a.m. with Rev. Jeffrey Bergeson officiating.
Burial will be at Senecaville Cemetery.
