Virginia "Bobbie" Lorraine Delaney

Virginia (Bobbie) Lorraine DeLaney, 73, of Cambridge, gained her wings and peacefully passed in the presence of close family on January 20, 2023.

She was born on June 6, 1949, in Los Angeles, California, a daughter of the late Joseph Lawrence and Virginia Clare (Lucas) DeLaney.

Bobbie lived many lifetimes: beautician to model, gifted seamstress, entrepreneur, wordsmith and more! Her business cards boldly read: "Future President of the United States." Her resilience allowed her to achieve anything she set her mind to and didn't know how to quit. Anyone who knew her will never forget her.

She is survived by her children; Shane A. (Jennifer) Hinkle of Maryland and Brigitte L. (Jeroen) Van Pelt (Hinkle) of the Netherlands, four grandchildren; Ana, Max, Presley, and Roxxi-Skye, three brothers; Jerry (Monica) Koonce, Danny Daniel, and Rick DeLaney, five sisters; Elizabeth DeLaney, Deborah (Dan) Brill, Rebecca (Dave) Seibel, Susan (Martin) Ramsey, and Susan Ellis. Also left to cherish her memory are her twenty-one nieces & nephews, thirty-two great nieces & nephews, one great-great niece and many more relatives.

No funeral or memorial service is scheduled at this time. The family will notify loved ones in the future when a service is scheduled.
