Virginia Lynn Bowman, affectionately known as Ginny, passed away peacefully on December 9, 2024, at Grant Medical Center. Born in Cambridge, OH, on October 16, 1945, to Floyd Rosman Bowman and Mary Elizabeth (Swick) Bowman, both of whom predeceased her, Ginny's life was a tapestry of dedication, service, and joy that touched all who knew her. Ginny was a proud graduate of Marysville High School and furthered her education at Columbus Business University, where she specialized as a Private Secretarial Major. Her professional life included valued positions at General Telephone and March Electric. Throughout her life, Ginny's involvement with the Cambridge Church of Christ was a testament to her faith and commitment to community. Her spiritual life was the cornerstone of her existence, guiding her through her journey and inspiring those around her. She served God faithfully every day. Known for her creative spirit, Ginny found solace and expression in crafts and woodworking. Her hands were rarely still as she created beautiful pieces and tended to her garden. Some of her favorite shows to watch were Animal Planet and X- Files, and she loved George Clooney movies. Ginny had a deep love for animals, including her pets, Esther and Tom. Ginny's family was the center of her universe. She was the loving sister to Kim A. Bowman and Rosemary Warden and was predeceased by her brother Floyd Mark Bowman and brother-in-law Willard Warden. Her warmth and guidance were also felt by her nieces and nephews: Josey Bowman, Kimmie (Brian) Jarrett, Melissa Bowman, Cami Bowman, John Paver, Charles Warden, and Celia "CK" Sholtz, as well as her great-nieces and nephews Elijah, Kiersten, Gage, and Kylie Jarrett, Maddie and Kane Bowman, and Christian Mitchell. The loss of her niece Betsy Beatenhead was a profound sadness in her life. Ginny's legacy is not only in the work she accomplished and the hobbies she cherished but also in the love she lavished on her family. Her presence as the matriarch was a constant source of comfort and strength. The memories created during family gatherings, holidays, and everyday moments will continue to bring smiles and solace to her loved ones. As we say farewell to Virginia Lynn Bowman, we celebrate a life lived with purpose, love, and grace. Ginny's spirit will forever be a beacon of light for her family, guiding them with her unwavering love and the lessons she imparted. Her laughter, her kindness, and her unconditional love will be deeply missed but never forgotten. Ginny's life journey has come to a peaceful conclusion, but her story will be retold and cherished by those who were fortunate enough to be a part of it. As we honor her memory, we are reminded of the beauty and resilience of the human spirit, as embodied by Ginny's remarkable life. A private family burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
