Vivian K. Barber

Vivian K. Barber, 54, of New Concord, passed away on Sunday (December 21, 2008) at her home. She was born July 21, 1954 to Roy and Mildred Marshall of New Concord. She was employed at the Guernsey County Department of Job & Family Services. She also was formerly employed at Pike Elementary School and the Fred Raymond & Co. She attended the First United Methodist Church in Cambridge. Mrs. Barber enjoyed camping, gardening and boating; but mostly, she enjoyed spending time with her family. In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Bill Barber, whom she married October 7, 1978; a son, Lee Barber of Athens; two daughters, Lindsay (Marc) Woten of Columbia, Missouri and Mandy Barber of Fayetteville, North Carolina; a brother, John (Sandy) Marshall of New Concord; two sisters, Janet Marshall-Brockwell of Cambridge and Bev Marshall of Zanesville; and several nieces & nephews. Family and friends may call on Friday (December 26, 2008) from 4 to 7 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge. A private graveside service will take place at Bloomfield Cemetery.
