W. Brown Clary, 57, of Cambridge, died Saturday (January 26, 2019) at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center following a brief illness.
He was born February 4, 1961 in Cambridge, son of the late Raymond Clary and Sally (Milligan) Clary.
A 1979 graduate of Cambridge High School and Muskingum Area Technical School, Brown had been employed with Fortney & Weygant Inc. of North Olmstead for many years.
He was an Eagle Scout and received an honorary Medal of Merit. He also received several State Recognition Awards for assisting with the evacuation during the Cambridge Holiday Inn fire.
Brown was an avid fisherman, both saltwater and freshwater. He was a beekeeper, a hunter, and loved gardening. He specialized in cooking. He traveled extensively throughout the Continental United States and visited Alaska a few times.
He will be greatly missed by everyone who knew and loved him.
He is survived by a son, Brent of Cambridge; a sister, Judy (Lumpkin) Brown of Cambridge; two brothers, John Lumpkin of Canton and Raymond "R.H." (& Sue) Clary of New York; an aunt, Bernadine Rohr of Canton; an uncle, Wayne (& Eula) Clary of Loveland; five nephews, Ken (& Allison) Dunlap of Cuyahoga Falls, Sean (& Erin) Brown of Medina, Raymond (& Julie) Clary of Bismarck ND, Scott Clary of North Dakota, and Mathew Clary of Bismarck ND; eight great-nephews; a great-niece; several cousins; and many really great friends.
A celebration of Brown's life will be held at a later date.
