Wanda Mae Mayne

Wanda Mae Mayne, 86, of Cambridge, passed away, Sunday, May 22, 2022, at Astoria Place of Cambridge.

She was born April 24, 1936, in Wheeling WV, daughter of the late Walter George Duplaga and Mable E. (Ridgway) Duplaga.

Mrs. Mayne was a homemaker.  She also had worked for six years at Ohio Bell Telephone Company, where she was a service assistant and supervisor. Wanda was also a volunteer concession manager at the Living Word for five years.

She was a 1954 graduate of Parma Senior High School.

Mrs. Mayne was a member of the First Christian Church and served as Diaconate and helped to organize and serve the Community Thanksgiving Dinner many years.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Jessie B. Mayne and Russell L. Mayne; an aunt, Helen Ridgway; an uncle, Raymond Ridgway; a great-aunt, Dessie Wellington; a great-uncle, Frank P. Ridgway; and her grandparents, Nana and William David Ridgway.

She is survived by her husband, Clyde Henry Mayne of the home, whom she married on February 15, 1958; a son, Jeffrey B. (& Amy) Mayne of Lancaster; a daughter, Jody D. (& Jason) Langston of Raleigh NC; a brother, Walter D. (& Rose) Duplaga of North Ridgeville; a brother-in-law, Paul R. (& Glenda) Mayne of Dothan, AL; a sister-in-law, Mary M. (& Robert) Frohme of Wheeling WV; three grandchildren, Kortney J. (Nick Wilson) Mayne of Centerville, Ohio, Trent B. (Abigail Matthews) Mayne of Lancaster, Ohio, and Jessie A. Mayne of Lancaster, Ohio; two nephews, Paul R. (& Katherine) Mayne II of Dothan, Alabama, and Scott (& Noreen) Frohme of Cockeysville, Maryland; three nieces, Sandra (& Pastor Jack) Kale of Gulf Breeze, Florida, Debbie (& Rev. Stacey) Ethridge of Chipley, Florida, and Lisa (& Shawn) Martin of Colerain, Ohio; and two cousins, Karen Ridgway Grisell of Wheeling WV and William Clarke (& Elayne) Ridgway of Morgantown WV.

Visitation will be Friday, May 27, 2022, at First Christian Church in Cambridge, at 10:30 AM with a service to immediately follow at 12:00 PM. Pastor Jack Kale will be officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions may be made to the following organization: The First Christian Church Memorial Fund, 1127 Beatty Avenue, Cambridge OH 43725 and/or Hospice of Guernsey, P.O. Box 1165, Cambridge, OH 43725.

Family and Friends are welcome, but due to COVID- 19 please take all necessary precautions to ensure your safety and everyone else's should you decide to attend.
