Wendy Jane Dingus, 43, of Cambridge, died Thursday (November 7, 2013) at The Ohio State University Medical Center, Columbus. She was born March 10, 1970 in Cambridge, daughter of James Dingus and Kathi (Sheets) Dingus. Miss Dingus was a waitress at several local restaurants. She also worked for Guernsey Residential. She enjoyed playing softball in her earlier years. She loved spending time with her grandchildren. She is survived by her parents, James Kathi Dingus of Cambridge; a son, Kevin Dingus of Chillicothe; a step-daughter, Brandi Hickman of Columbus; eight brothers, James (& Ann) Dingus of Byesville, Hank (& Rebecca) Dingus, Charles Dingus (& Joanie) Shuman, Luke Dingus (& Lisa McClay), Rock Dingus, Matt Dingus, Tony Dingus, and Harley Dingus all of Cambridge; two sisters, Timber Dingus (& Jeff Nelson) of Rittman and Rose (& Moses) Rodriquez of Lorain; three grandchildren, Haley Dingus of Cambridge, Malyah Dingus of Columbus, and Isabella Wallace of Cambridge; and several aunts, uncles, nieces & nephews. Family and friends may call on Tuesday (November 12, 2013) from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Thorn-Black Funeral Home, Cambridge, where funeral services will follow at 6 p.m. with Pastor Richard Lynch officiating. Miss Dingus gave the gift of life by being an organ donor. The family asks that memorial contributions be made to Thorn-Black Funeral Home to assist the family with funeral expenses.
